The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) recently announced that it will not regulate the entire forthcoming generation of genetically modified organisms (GMOs), allowing new genetically engineered (GE) foods to enter the food supply without any testing or permitting process. This “free pass” by the USDA will also allow these new GMOs to be legally marketed as “non-GMO,” including in states such as Vermont that have passed GMO labeling laws.

The technologies in question are part of a suite of techniques known (inaccurately) as “gene editing.” And foods made with “gene edited” ingredients are already being sold to consumers.

Calling it ‘non-GMO’ doesn’t make it true

Gene editing consists of using enzymes to splice out a strand of DNA at a targeted location, combined with another technique (such as insertion of a “DNA template”) to guide the DNA’s natural repair process to insert a preferred gene.

Gene editing techniques include clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeat (CRISPR), zinc finger nucleases (ZFN), transcription activator-like effector nucleases (TALENs) and oligonucleotide directed mutagenesis (ODM). The latter technique consists of injecting synthetic DNA into cells, thereby triggering cells to mutate and mimic the synthetic DNA.

What none of these techniques involves is the old method of physically inserting a strand of DNA from a separate species. Thus, organisms produced by gene editing could not be accurately called “transgenic.” Yet, to deny that they are genetically modified flies in the face of both the plain and scientific meanings of the terms GE and GMO – and, notably, even the legal definitions of the European Union.

Nevertheless, the USDA recently announced that a new slow-browning variety of mushroom, produced via CRISPR, would not be regulated as a GMO, and could be sold to consumers without further testing or approval.

The implications of this are far-reaching, and not just because of the ongoing battle over whether a voluntary federal labeling standard will preempt laws in states such as Vermont. Almost 17 percent of the new food products sold in the United States in 2015 were labeled non-GMO, compared with only 3 percent just four years prior. And, according to a recent survey by market research firm Mintel, 52 percent of U.S. consumers seek out non-GMO products.

Canada has announced that foods made with “gene editing” will be regulated as “novel” products, just like transgenic GMOs. The European Union is still considering the question.

Products already at a store near you

Gene edited foods are already big business. A new herbicide-resistant canola variety engineered with gene editing is already making its way into oil sold to consumers. A soybean variety engineered to produce oil that can withstand higher heat is due to hit the market as early as 2018. Other “edited” GMOs in the works include a low-gluten wheat variety, and a potato that produces lower levels of acrylamide, a chemical linked with cancer (but found mostly in cigarettes and the breakdown products of industrial chemicals, including Roundup). Every major biotech company is investing heavily in gene editing research.

These companies are also investing in a propaganda blitz designed to convince regulators and consumers that gene editing is fundamentally different from “genetic engineering” – that it is safer, more precise and more accurate. All of these assertions are myths, says geneticist and virologist Jonathan Latham, executive director of the Bioscience Resource Project and editor of Independent Science News.

Doug Gurian-Sherman, director of sustainable agriculture at the Center for Food Safety, agrees. He says that the claims made about gene editing – namely, that it will solve problems such as disease and hunger – mirror the same false promises made about GMOs in the 1990s.

“This is largely unproven,” he said. “There’s a proclivity to believe we can develop new, useful technology that will answer tough problems.”

Leading by example, Malta is poised to become the first European Union nation to enact a complete ban on the carcinogenic herbicide glyphosate, the active ingredient in Monsanto’s Roundup weedkiller.

The move towards a complete ban in the country comes on the heels of the decision in June by the European Commission to grant an 18-month extension of the license for glyphosate.

In a meeting of member states in June, Malta was the only country that voted against the extension of the license. The Maltese government has now begun taking steps towards implementing a complete ban on glyphosate use, according to the Times of Malta.

Malta’s decision to impose an outright ban – after an earlier “disappointing compromise” vote in April by five of the country’s six MEPs to approve a seven-year extension of the license – was at least partly based on revelations regarding an alleged conflict of interest on the part of the chairman of the UN’s Joint Meeting on Pesticide Residues (JMPR).

Fraud, corruption and conflict of interest

In May, The Guardian published an article revealing the conflict of interest charges:

“It has emerged that an institute co-run by the chairman of the UN’s joint meeting on pesticide residues (JMPR) received a six-figure donation from Monsanto, which uses the substance as a core ingredient in its bestselling Roundup weedkiller.

“Professor Alan Boobis, who chaired the UN’s joint FAO/WHO meeting on glyphosate, also works as the vice-president of the International Life Science Institute (ILSI) Europe.”

In 2012, the ILSI accepted a $500,000 donation from Monsanto, according to documents which were released to the U.S. Right to Know campaign.

The organization has been tied to conflict of interest cases in the past, and is considered by many to be nothing more than an industry mouthpiece.

As it has done for years in the United States, Monsanto is also spending millions in Europe buying scientists in efforts to protect its multi-billion dollar glyphosate market.

In recent years, however, Monsanto has faced an increasingly uphill battle, as awareness of glyphosate’s dangers and opposition to its use have grown among citizens and governments, particularly in the European Union.

Increasing evidence of fraud and corruption on the part of Monsanto and its paid minions have begun to erode the biotech giant’s influence on policy-making in Europe.

When the license extension vote was cast in June, Malta was the only country opposed to the extension, but France, along with several other nations, abstained from the vote, meaning that a limited majority decision could not be reached.

Since then, France has changed its stance and opposed the extension; France is now reportedly considering its own national ban.

Setting an example for Europe to follow

Malta’s decision to ban glyphosate has been hailed as a courageous move, and may serve as an example for other countries to follow.

A spokesman for Friends of the Earth Malta said:
“The decision shows courage from government’s side as it chose to listen to the concerns of experts and individuals who have demanded that our fields, streets and gardens would be free from this risky weed killer.

“We also hope that other European countries grab this opportunity to make European farming safer and greener, which is what the public wants.”

The tide may be beginning to turn in the fight against glyphosate use and GM agriculture, but much remains to be done, particularly in the United States, where glyphosate is being used on a massive scale, while the EPA continues to raise the maximum allowable glyphosate levels.

Dozens of teenage girls from Japan injured by HPV vaccine file suit against government, drug makers; complaints of constant full-body pain.

News broke earlier this week that at least 64 women experiencing adverse health effects from cervical cancer vaccines, are filing damages lawsuits against the Japanese government and the drug makers who produced the vaccines in the first place.

Filing in four different district courts, the Tokyo District Court, the Nagoya District Court, the Osaka District Court and the Fukuoka District Court, each victim is demanding 15 million yen.

The average age of the women involved is 18 years old, with each receiving the vaccination between the ages of 11 and 16.

Cervical cancer vaccine causes adverse health reactions

Cervical cancer vaccines have been known to cause adverse health reactions, including nerve disorders and other alarming immune reactions.

According to Japan Times, “Cervical cancer vaccines were included in routine vaccination programs in April 2013.” After hearing numerous reports of women suffering strange, harmful side effects as a result of receiving the vaccine, the Japanese government stopped recommending cervical cancer vaccines two months later.

That changed in April of this year though, when the Japan Pediatric Society and other institutes recommended the issuance of the controversial vaccines, claiming “it is clear they are effective in preventing cervical cancer,” as reported by Japan Times.

Masumi Minaguchi, one of the lawyers representing the women filing the lawsuit, elaborated on his belief that the government and drug producers are responsible for the damages his clients have experienced. Claiming that the victims’ symptoms include pain all over the body, Minaguchi told Japan Times, “We aim to clarify the responsibilities of the government and the drugmakers through the lawsuits so that the victims can live without anxiety.”

This isn’t the first time people have voiced their concerns about cervical cancer vaccines. Nevertheless, the HPV vaccine – a method of treatment to prevent the contraction of the human papillomavirus, a known cause of the development of cervical cancer – has been strongly recommended by doctors across the U.S.

Growing concern surrounding HPV vaccine in U.S.

According to CBS News, “There’s a growing concern that more parents are stopping their children from receiving the shots because of unwarranted safety concerns.”

Between 2008 and 2010, the number of parents who refused to give their children the HPV vaccine specifically because of safety concerns nearly quadrupled, from 4.5 percent to 16 percent.

“I’m not sure what has gone into that increase,” Dr. Paul Darden, a pediatrician at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City said.

Perhaps it was the 12,424 cases of adverse health reactions, resulting in 32 deaths, that were reported in June 2006, as a result of the 23 million doses that had been administered up to that date.

Whatever it is, those suffering negative side effects associated with HPV vaccinations are not happy, and are seeking retribution.

(NaturalNews) The current issue of the Toxicology journal, details the first study in glyphosate’s more than 40 years on the market, to study its effects on uterine development. In the study, a group of researchers injected newborn rats with a commercial dose of glyphosate-based herbicide (GBH), while a control group was given a saline solution.

The researchers found that the rats who were exposed to GBH showed signs of morphological changes in their uteri from exposure as early as a week after being born. The GBH group also showed altered expression of the proteins responsible for uterine organo-genetic differentiation. This is very significant, and can mean changes in the form of embryos, such as birth deformities or being born with three ears, for example. It was also shown to affect their organs.

The findings led the researchers to conclude that glyphosate exposure affects female fertility, and could even promote the development of uterine cancer. In addition, glyphosate herbicides can disrupt the endocrine function of prepubescent rats, which indicates that the chemicals are likely endocrine disruptors.

‘Safe’ dose responsible for uterine effects

The dose of glyphosate that was found to disrupt the rats’ uterine development was based on the reference dose of the substance that regulators have claimed is safe for daily consumption over the course of one’s lifetime: 2 mg per kg of body weight each day.

This study’s findings are hardly surprising to those who are familiar with the well-documented ill effects of glyphosate, but it is notable that it was carried out and published in the first place. After all, GMO chemical firms like Monsanto do their best to make sure that unbiased scientists are not able to study the dangers of their products and release their findings.

Of course, no one should be surprised when the agrochemical lobby tries to discount these findings and/or discredit the researchers. After all, that has been their modus operandi for a number of years, and they have been quite successful in getting their product to remain on the market despite its very real dangers and being labeled by the World Health Organization as a “probable carcinogen.”

The findings are significant because glyphosate-based herbicides such as Roundup are the most widely used in the world, with more than four fifths of all edible agricultural GMOs being sprayed with the substance.

While glyphosate is indeed very dangerous on its own, it is typically combined with adjuvants that have been found to be 1,000 times more toxic than glyphosate alone. Monsanto and other firms refuse to disclose the identities of the adjuvants that they use, claiming patent proprietary rights, while risking human health and even life in pursuit of the almighty dollar.

A report released by Earth Open Source in 2011, revealed that regulators have known that Roundup causes birth defects since 1980. Hearing ringing in your ears of late? Did you know this is a form of clairaudience? For those of you who do not know what the word clairaudient means, it is the faculty of perceiving, by hearing, what is inaudible.

What is happening in our world, as many of you are moving up the ascension ladder from a 3 dimensional reality to a 4 and 5 dimensional reality, is the light forces and the dark forces are using psychic toning to either help or to hinder our soul’s enlightenment to truth. Psychic toning is something we really want to be aware of and to pay attention to. If you have been on the spiritual path, releasing false beliefs and releasing all dark emotions that weigh you down and entering into your own light of truth, you may be noticing various tones from very high to low. Some tones are high and some are not. The ringing may last for long periods of time or they may come in shorter duration.

Those who are not spiritually awakening either may not notice this phenomena or they may notice low vibrational frequencies only.

The important thing to notice is how they make you FEEL. Noticing and acknowledging the toning is very important. Why? Because they are asking you to pay attention to your emotions, how you feel, at the time you notice the tones and their shifting frequencies. For me, when I am hearing the really high tonal frequencies, someone is saying or thinking something very positive about me. Remembering that our world is a free-will zone, I am given the advance notice to make the choice to stay in a positive frame of mind or to react negatively. When we react positively and centered in the neutrality of love, we are staying in a higher frequency (in the 4D and the 5D reality.) A kindly worded letter from Gyorgy Matolcsy, the head of Hungary’s CentralBank , asked Managing Director, Christine Lagarde of the International Misery Fund, as some have fondly nicknamed it, to close the office as it was not necessary to maintain it any longer.

The Prime Minister, Viktor Orban, seemed keen to ease off austerity measures and prove that the country could go it alone. It in fact issued its first bond in 2011, borrowing off the global markets.

Hungary borrowed €20 billion loan to avoid becoming insolvent during the economic crisis in 2008. But the debtee debtor relationship has not been smooth sailing.

Many criticised the Prime Minister as making an ill-advised decision in order to win an election, which was due in 2014. He also wanted to refrain from having too many foreign eyes on their economic policies, as many reforms were criticised as being undemocratic.

Paying the loan back early has meant Hungary have saved €11.7 million worth of interest expenses, but Gordan Bajnai, leader of the electoral alliance E14-PM, claimed that they had actually lost €44.86 million by March 2014 because of the early repayment as all they did was replace the loan from the International Mafia Federation (another nickname, we’re still talking about the IMF here) with a more expensive one, labelling the stunt as Propaganda .

And what made further nonsense; another loan at high interest rates was signed to finance a nuclear upgrade, which will mean not only higher repayments but also high electricity costs. But they do have economic sovereignty now.

Many have claimed that the IMF AKA ‘Imposing Misery and Famine’, are owned by the Rothschild group, the biggest banking group in the world, having their fingers in almost every central bank in the world. This means that not only do they make money off usurious interest rates at the misfortune of crumbling economies, they also literally own Governments and people of power – I mean they have considerable influence.

Escaping the banking clutches is therefore, iconic. Iceland joined Hungary in 2014 when it paid back its $400 million loan ahead of schedule after the collapse of the banking sector in 2008 and Russia, of course bowing down to no Western puppeteer, freed itself in 2005.

The return of these three countries to financial independence has been said to be the first time a European country has stood up to the international fund since Germany did so in the 1930s. The Indian government have accused the U.S. of using a secretive weapon system that is likely to have caused global warming.

According to Environmental Minister Anil Madhav Dave, the U.S. government are able to focus electromagnetic beams via a weapon called High Frequency Active Auroral Research Programme(HAARP) across the Earth which reduce the yields of major crops like wheat and maize in India.

Dave was replying to a question on whether the government is aware of HAARP, capable of effecting devastating impact on the world’s climate including that of India and resulting in destabilisation of agricultural and ecological systems.

He said a study conducted by Indian Council of Agricultural Research has projected the impact of climate change to be adverse in terms of reduction of yield of major crops including wheat, maize, mustard, potato and sorghum.

Recognizing the adverse impact of climate change, the minister said that the government launched the National Action Plan on Climate Change (NAPCC) in June 2008 to deal with climate change-related issues.

NAPCC comprises eight missions in areas of solar energy, enhanced energy efficiency, habitat, water, sustaining Himalayan ecosystems, forestry, agriculture and strategic knowledge of climate change.

It also addresses the issues relating to mitigation of greenhouse gases and adaptation to the adverse impacts of climate change on environment, forest, habitat, water resources and agriculture. Dave said 32 states and UTs have also prepared a State Action Plan on Climate Change (SAPCC).

(NaturalNews) Environmental activists are being murdered at record rates, with as many as three deaths occurring per week, according to London-based advocacy group, Global Witness.

A report released last year by Global Witness, found that 185 killings occurred in 2015 – a 60 percent increase over the previous year, and “the deadliest year on record.”

The majority of the murders were committed against activists involved in opposing logging, mining, agribusiness and dam projects, with Brazil’s logging protestors being the most common victims of violence.

In Brazil’s Amazon states – and elsewhere throughout the world – the murderers are being shielded by “collusion between state and corporate interests.”

“In cases that are well-documented we found 16 were related to paramilitary groups, 13 to the army, 11 to the police, and 11 to private security — strongly implying state or company links to the killings. There was little evidence that the authorities either fully investigated the crimes or took actions to bring the perpetrators to account.”

Governments are ‘turning a blind eye’

And, although the Global Witness report finds these trends more prevalent in locations such as South America and Africa, the United States government is also complicit in the persecution of activists, labeling them as terrorists, and using infiltration and illegal surveillance tactics against their organizations.

In fact, many governments throughout the world are not only “turning a blind eye to corruption, illegalities and environmental degradation,” but are also publicly condemning activists as being “anti-development.”

The sad truth is that most of the violence is being perpetrated against indigenous people trying to protect their land from pillaging by loggers, ranchers and plantation owners.

Indigenous people accounted for 40 percent of the total deaths.

Anti-logging activists were the most frequently targeted, but the palm oil industry in places like the Philippines was also responsible for a number of deaths.

Globalization: the human and environmental cost

Today when hundreds of children of Carmen de Bolivar were to resume classes after day holiday midyear, they found their schools closed by several groups of parents of girls who are being affected after being vaccinated by the vaccine against human papilloma virus (HPV) in this Bolivarense municipality.

With banners and padlocks, parents blocked the educational institutions to demand that the government respond on more than 1,000 cases (of HPV vaccine injuries), which according to the associations of parents of Carmen de Bolivar, have been presented in this municipality.

“The girls are in crisis but neither the provincial government nor the national government give us a solution. Our daughters are still treated like they’re crazy,” said a mother who spoke with Opinion and Health and would not reveal her name.

Already two years since the outbreak of this situation in Carmen de Bolivar, today the victims say they have not received treatment, nor a coherent response (from the government.)

“We can not go on like this, without knowing …. how they can improve,” said the mother.

For many of us, a clear picture of this scenario is easily envisioned because we see it around us every day. But as this mental gap widens, have you taken into serious consideration how this will play out? Let’s consider some of these scenarios and offer some solutions moving forward.

First let’s consider the dark side of things. That is, I want us to confront the ugly reality of what this mental gap means and what could likely be the ramifications of this. This mental knowledge-based gap I’m referring to is very real. If you truly understand that the knowledge we share about the world (again, all of which is easily verified thanks to the magic of the (free) information age we live in) is otherwise basic simple truths about realities that objectively are occurring worldwide whether we like it, acknowledge it or not, and if you understand there is no reason to complicate this informational reality then you’ll likely understand what I mean when I say that the rest of them (those still believing mainstream media and those lost in their matrix of daily lies) really are mentally ill. They are unaware that they are suffering from engineered illusions piled on top of each other and sequentially linked in real-time. These packets of engineered stories deeply wedged in their minds then become the source which powers and ultimately composes the overall reality of that person.

It is a recognized fact that the developing world has been used by the World Health Organization as a vaccine laboratory for decades. This has been proven in data and vaccine studies dating back as far as the 1970s.

With this in mind, we must ask ourselves, is it right to use these vulnerable children in vaccine experiments? A couple of examples are: Group A Streptococcus (GAS) Unlicensed Vaccine Tested In Africa & Asia and Tetanus Vaccines Laced With Hormones Known to Cause Miscarriage “fertility regulating vaccinations.”

In 1994, the WHO decided to put these vaccinations to the test and gave women from developing countries aged between 15 and 45 a tetanus vaccine containing the hCG hormone.

However, an organization known as the Comité Pro Vida de Mexico became suspicious of the protocols surrounding the vaccines and obtained several vials for testing. It was discovered that some of the vials contained human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), the exact same hormone that the WHO, the UNDP, the UNFPA and the World Bank had been discussing just two years earlier.

Determined to Continue Their Efforts, the WHO Did Not Stop There

Having been caught in their earlier attempts, in 2014, the WHO teamed up with the organization UNICEF and decided that they would attempt their antics yet again, only to have their efforts blighted a short time later by the Kenya Catholic Doctors Association.

Outraged by their disregard for human life, Dr. Wahome Ngare spoke on behalf of the association, making his feelings abundantly clear. Speaking to Huffington Post, he said:

What is immoral and evil is that the tetanus laced with HCG was given as a fertility regulating vaccine without disclosing its contraceptive effect to the girls and mothers.

Many people believe that he is absolutely correct and are asking whether or not the WHO has the right to play God and determine who can and cannot have children.

If we study these results in detail, many are extremely worrying. It is clear that a variety of vaccinations were being given to extremely vulnerable babies, in multiple combinations, from birth.

The results of their study clearly highlighted areas of concern. One of the most alarming was the fact that the study revealed a higher mortality rate in those females vaccinated with the high titre measles vaccine. Despite the WHO removing the vaccination from the schedule in 1992, the high titre Edmonston-Zagreb measles vaccine was once again used to test infants from low income countries in 2004-2007.

Conclusion: WHO Needs to be Investigated for Unethical Research

The WHO has engaged in activities that fall far below the standards of ethical, research and medical conduct that have been established by our health organizations to protect human rights. They should therefore be investigated and prevented from these unchecked activities in the future. If not, each and every one of us will be put at risk when this type of evil is done in the name of medicine.

I’m a ravenous consumer of content. I bet you are, too. If we are what we eat, for better or worse, the content we consume becomes our reality. It becomes the story we tell ourselves, the principles we believe in, and it may even determine our health. Some content is detrimental and some is beneficial.  Because we’re bombarded with information from every direction, it’s never been more important to carefully curate what we consume.

Practically everything we observe and experience now seems to be “content.”  From music, movies, books, news, politics, gossip, work, friend feeds and texts, even to our immediate surroundings like how our homes are decorated.  Sometimes the noise and choices can get overwhelming. This overload is like decision fatigue.

Often we’re tempted by the emotional clickbait headlines without considering the consequences on our psyche. There are some things we cannot unsee or unhear. Words and images affect us. They mold our reality. We have to ask ourselves if we really want to manufacture more rage in our lives. Rarely do we stop to deliberately protect ourselves from the content we consume.

But like the James Allen quote above says, the mind will grow harmful weeds if not deliberately cultivated. These weeds can be damaging. They seem to manifest as stress or anxiety which can lead to a host of mental and physical ailments. And much like decision fatigue, we seem to lose room for critical thought and productive ideas to blossom.

For me the flood of content I was consuming caused me anxiety. I was in my mad-as-hell stage of awakening and I was rabidly rage-clicking on endless reels of content that confirmed my rage. I thought being awake meant “if you aren’t angry, you aren’t paying attention.” But I was wrong.

Then I had a simple epiphany: the best way to better the world around me is to better myself. I was responsible for the content I consumed and how it made me feel. I realized that I was planting the wrong seeds in my mind and they were producing choking weeds. The rage I felt toward the machine dramatically subsided.

Upon focusing my thoughts to more fruitful purposes, my life started getting better. Suddenly it made sense that this strategy, individually, would be far more effective activism than merely raging against the machine.

Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s healthy to be angry at the right things. But when we’re experiencing information overload, it’s all too easy to become angry over trivial differences in tribalism, for example.

So the next time you catch yourself tempted to click on “rage clickbait,” ask yourself if that’s the type of garden you want to cultivate in your mind. Does rage make your life better? What will?
