One of New York’s lesser-known institutions of higher learning is making headlines after 13 confirmed cases, and counting, of mumps emerged on two of its campuses, prompting school officials to impetuously ban all unvaccinated students from attending classes. But these same reports clearly indicate that all affected students had already been vaccinated for mumps, proving once again the utter uselessness of vaccines and the imbecilic tendencies of organizations chained to the vaccine status quo.

According to reports, concerns first arose after several Fordham University students suddenly came down with flu-like symptoms in recent weeks, which later turned out to be adult mumps in every case. The infection numbers continued to swell, prompting an inquiry into the vaccination records of the affected students. But this inquiry revealed that not a single unvaccinated student had contracted the mumps — only those who had previously been vaccinated for mumps developed the disease.

Nevertheless, Fordham officials have decided to prohibit all unvaccinated students, none of whom have contracted the disease thus far, from attending classes unless or until they agree to provide proof of vaccination. At the same time, all the vaccinated students who contracted mumps are being allowed to continue attending classes after exceeding the supposed contagious stage, a completely irrational policy move that only unfettered adherence to mainstream vaccine dogma.

“All of the students who were tentatively diagnosed with mumps had been vaccinated,” ABC News reported. “Vaccinations do not offer 100 percent protection.”

Vaccines don’t work, admits Fordham, but you must have them to attend classes

While both school and public health officials admit that the vaccine does not work for everyone, Fordham is still insistent that everyone receive it regardless. In a show of tyrannical ignorance, Fordham officials recently issued a public demand that all students be vaccinated for mumps, and those who have already been vaccinated receive booster shots.

Nothing about this type of scenario is at all reasonable from a logical perspective, as any rational-thinking person who has not been brainwashed into the vaccine religion will clearly see that vaccines do not work and actually reduce immunity. And yet in our demented society this type of decision-making is considered par for the course and a reasonable response to handling infectious disease outbreaks among the vaccinated.

If you weren’t already outraged by the illegal and unethically intertwined relationships between government and the mainstream media, then this revelation is sure send you over the edge.

Aside from the fact that the Obama administration has waged an unprecedented war on journalists, prosecuting more whistle-blowers while in office than any other president in history, now he’s announced that his administration will send government contractors into newsrooms across the nation to supervise the content they’re creating and producing through a series of involuntary surveys.

The project, known as the “CIN Study,” pronounced “sin,” involves government officials monitoring content created by the media, including articles, television reports and internet content.

Under the newly proposed Federal Communications Commission (FCC) initiative, journalists must provide to the public content that meets one of eight groups of “critical needs,” or face unknown penalties.

Much like the term is used in relation to Fusion Centers, where data is collected, synthesized and sold to law enforcement and any sector of business falling under the broad category of “critical infrastructure,” the government wants to ensure that the public’s “critical needs” are met.

Scholars at the University of Southern California Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism and the University of Wisconsin-Madison Center for Communication and Democracy conducted a study to determine what “critical needs” are necessary for Americans.

These eight “critical needs” are defined by the government as correct or adequate information regarding “emergencies and risks,” “health and welfare,” “education,” “transportation,” “economic opportunities,” “the environment,” “civic information” and, lastly, “political information.” All approved by the government.

FCC refers to the CIN study as a “fact-finding mission,” reported The Wall Street Journal (WSJ).

If and when the FCC’s initiative, proposed last May, moves forward, it’s unclear what will happen to media organizations that fail to adhere to the government’s proposed standards.

It’s important to note, the FCC grants broadcasters their license to operate, which must be renewed every eight years. It seems probable that the FCC could use this law to penalize media companies they dislike, potentially forcing them out of business.

One question that reporters will be asked is “Have you ever suggested coverage of what you consider a story with critical information for your customers that was rejected by management?” Officials will also investigate how “editorial discretion” is performed and will inquire about the philosophy behind making decisions.

The results of such inquiries will be filed into a report and submitted to Congress every three years on “eliminating barriers to entry for entrepreneurs and small businesses in the communications industry.”

WSJ columnist and one of the FCC’s five commissioners, Ajit Pai, questions how “news judgments made by editors and station managers” can prohibit “small businesses from entering the broadcast industry?”

The FCC’s initiative also includes regulating newspapers, which according to the law do not need licenses or airwaves to operate. This fact should prohibit the FCC from implementing said restrictions simply because they hold absolutely no jurisdiction.

Over 65 years ago, Democrats sponsored the “Fairness Doctrine,” a proposal intended to curb mainstream media networks from misusing their broadcasting license by distributing a “biased public agenda.” Lawmakers justified the imposed law, claiming it should force media to “provide balanced and fair coverage of controversial issues,” reported About.com.

The doctrine remained in effect until 1987 when FCC chairman Mark Fowler began to repeal it during President Reagan’s second term.

Democrats who have helped bring similar legislation back under the “CIN project” hope to use the legislation to eliminate conservative radio talk show hosts like Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh.

In previous years, both the Reagan and George H. W. Bush administrations prevented the Fairness Doctrine from returning; however, the FCC’s latest initiative was passed without a vote.

FCC commissioner Mignon Clyburn (directly appointed by Obama), daughter of prestigious House Democratic Rep. James Clyburn, defended the initiative, stating that the FCC “must emphatically insist that we leave no American behind when it comes to meeting the needs of those in varied and vibrant communities of our nation — be they native born, immigrant, disabled, non-English speaking, low-income, or other.”

The FCC’s initiative was meant to begin as a pilot program in South Carolina; however, following FCC commissioner Pai’s article criticizing the program, it was reportedly significantly amended.

According to the FCC, all media owners and journalists have been removed from participating in the survey.

A leading cause of ADHD (attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder) and autism in children could be the hidden chemicals lurking in the foods we eat, the water we drink and the products we consume, says a new study recently published in The Lancet. Researchers from the Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH) and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS) found that, among other things, the fluoride chemicals added to many public water systems in North America directly contribute to both mental and behavioral disorders in children.

Building upon earlier research published in 2006 that dubbed fluoride as a “developmental neurotoxicant,” the new review included a meta-analysis of 27 additional studies on fluoride, most of which were from China, that linked the chemical to lowered IQ in children. After thorough analysis, it was determined that fluoride obstructs proper brain development and can lead to autism spectrum disorders, dyslexia, ADHD and other health conditions, a “silent epidemic” that many mainstream health authorities continue to ignore.

According to the two main researchers involved in the study, Philippe Grandjean from HSPH and Philip Landrigan from ISMMS, incidences of chemical-related neurodevelopmental disorders have doubled over the past seven years from six to 12. The reason for this is that an increasing number of mostly untested chemicals are being approved for use without the public being told where and in what quantities such chemicals are being used.

“[S]ince 2006, the number of chemicals known to damage the human brain more generally, but that are not regulated to protect children’s health, had increased from 202 to 214,” writes Julia Medew for The Sydney Morning Herald. “The pair said this could be the tip of the iceberg because the vast majority of the more than 80,000 industrial chemicals widely used in the United States have never been tested for their toxic effects on the developing foetus or child.”

While pesticides dominated the duo’s list as the most pervasive and damaging chemicals whose presence the public is largely unaware of, fluoride, which is intentionally added to public water supplies as a supposed protectant against tooth decay, is also highly problematic. It is also largely ignored by public health authorities as a possible factor in childhood development problems, even though the science is clear about its dangers.

Like lead, certain industrial solvents and crop chemicals, fluoride is known to accumulate in the human bloodstream, where it eventually deposits into bones and other bodily tissues. In pregnant women, this also includes passing through the bloodstream into the placenta, where it then accumulates in the bones and brain tissue of developing babies. The effects of this are, of course, perpetually damaging, and something that regulatory authorities need to take more seriously.

“The problem is international in scope, and the solution must therefore also be international,” stated Grandjean in a press release, calling for improved regulatory standards for common chemicals. “We have the methods in place to test industrial chemicals for harmful effects on children’s brain development — now is the time to make that testing mandatory.”

That slick new smartphone you’ve been eyeing could end up damaging your brain or even giving you cancer later in life. This is according to data compiled for a powerful infographic on mobile phone use, which pins electromagnetic radiation emitted from mobile devices to nervous system damage, hemoglobin loss in blood cells, endocrine damage, digestive problems, elevated cholesterol levels, asthma, memory loss and mental confusion, headaches and fatigue, and cancerous tumors, among other conditions.

Compiled by MobilePhone.co.in, the infographic explains how a shocking 5 billion people globally now use cell phones, which includes 303 million people living in the United States. Of this 5 billion, most keep their phones with them all throughout the day either in a pocket or purse, and nearly 70 percent keep their phones next to their heads on a nightstand while they sleep. What this means is that the vast majority of humanity is now being exposed to a constant stream of health-damaging electromagnetic radiation.

Such health effects include the aforementioned conditions, and especially cancer and cancer-related conditions. The overall number of gliomas, for instance, or tumors of the brain or spine, has spiked dramatically since the advent of mobile phones. According to the data, some 10,000 new glioma cases are diagnosed every year just in the U.S., and heavy mobile phone users have been found to be 40 percent more likely than others to develop them.

Other conditions linked to mobile phone use include those aforementioned, as well as reduced immunity, decreased sensory and motor function, organ damage, obstructed sleep patterns, skin rashes, joint pain and muscle spasms. A study out of Israel’s Tel Aviv University (TAU) that was published last summer also found that excessive mobile phone use causes general oxidative stress throughout the body, which in turn can lead to DNA damage and cancer.

“[T]here is considerable oxidative stress on the tissue and glands which are close to the cell phone when in use,” stated the TAU study’s lead author Dr. Yaniv Hamzany about the findings. “The damage caused by oxidative stress is linked to cellular and genetic mutations which cause the development of tumours.”

This is particularly alarming for conditions related to the brain and nervous system, as these are the areas most exposed to mobile phone radiation. Not surprisingly, at least 50 percent of cell phone radiation is absorbed directly by the head and body during use, as cell phone users typically press their devices up against their heads while talking.

Even worse is the fact that children with developing brains are most prone to damage by cell phone radiation, as their brains tend to absorb more of it on average than the brains of adults. The types of phones and the technologies that they use are also important factors, as smartphones using so-called “4G” or “LTE” network service are believed to be among the most damaging.

It has been 10 years since the Philippine government approved the country’s first genetically modified (GM) crops for commercial cultivation, and its farmers are now far worse off becauseo f it. In the new documentary film 10 Years of Failure, Farmers Deceived by GM Corn, the farmer advocacy group Farmer-Scientist Partnership for Development, or MASIPAG, reveals the plight of GM corn farmers in the Philippines who were hoodwinked by the biotechnology industry and are now suffering from massive debt, poor yields and even starvation as a result.

The 25-minute film, which is available for free viewing on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCuWs8K9-kI), was released on so-called “World Food Day,” the day that Monsanto and Syngenta were given awards by the World Food Prize Foundation for their abominable transgenic creations. On the contrary, GM crops, and particularly GM corn in the Philippines, has all but destroyed the traditional maize industry in this southeast Asian country. Earlier this week, AI expert Ray Kurzweil predicted that robots would “outsmart humans” by 2029. It’s probably going to be much sooner, given that humans are currently suffering a rapid cognitive decline due to widespread water fluoridation (which even Harvard experts say causes lowered IQs), heavy metals contamination of the food supply, and of course the IQ-cannibalizing broadcasts of MSNBC and CNN.

As much as Kurzweil seems somewhat loony for his ideas about “merging with the machines” and uploading your mind into a supercomputer, he’s not someone who can be readily dismissed, even by his skeptics. He’s obviously a very intelligent individual, and he’s been right about a great many things in the history of technological achievement. When Kurzweil publicly predicts robots will out-think humans by 2029, we’d better take note.

“By 2029, computers will be able to do all the things that humans do. Only better,” reports The Guardian in an interview with Kurzweil.

Google is rapidly acquiring advanced military robotics and breakthrough artificial intelligence technologies. Kurzweil is a top executive at Google, the very same company which has been on a robotics buying spree, purchasing top military-level robotics companies for billions of dollars.

Recently, for example, Google purchased Boston Dynamics, the company whose creepy, Terminator-style robots already have “human stalking” algorithms which are politely described as “follow the leader” games.

But what will power the brains of these weapon-yielding military robots? Google also just spent hundreds of millions of dollars to purchase the DeepMind company, DNNresearch and a long list of others. What’s clear is that Google is piecing together the technology needed to deploy a literal army of highly intelligent, armed, “self aware” and self-mobile machines. Their uses are, of course, incredibly diverse. They could be servant robots for homeowners or they could be Terminator-style battlefield soldiers. There’s no limit to their application, and whatever company owns this technology will, without question, dominate our world.

If Kurzweil is right, the beginning of this is barely 15 years away, and it begs the question: What would a new race of intelligent machines choose to do with humanity?

Climate-change researchers at the University of Washington (UW), in considering a range of mitigation scenarios, say that the injection of sulfate particles into the earth’s atmosphere to reflect sunlight away from the planet’s surface to curb warming might pose a further threat if it is not maintained indefinitely and additionally supported with strict restrictions on greenhouse gas emissions.

The results of the study, published Feb. 18 in IOP Publishing’s journal Environmental Research Letters, “has highlighted the risks of large and spatially expansive temperature increases if solar radiation management (SRM) is abruptly stopped once it has been implemented,” said a press release from the university.

The scientists said SRM is one proposed method of geoengineering that is being floated as a potential technique to control warming. It involves injecting tiny sulfate-based aerosols into the upper atmosphere to reflect sunlight and cool the planet — theoretically, anyway.

“The technique has been shown to be economically and technically feasible; however, its efficacy depends on its continued maintenance, without interruption from technical faults, global cooperation breakdown or funding running dry,” said the press release.

Twelve European ministers have sent the health commissioner of the European Union a letter asking that the European Commission withdraw its proposal to approve a new strain of genetically modified (GM) maize known as “Pioneer 1507.”

The GM corn strain, co-developed by DuPont Pioneer (formerly Pioneer Hi-Bred) and Dow Chemical, produces a pesticide in its tissues originally derived from the bacteria species Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt). It is also resistant to the herbicide glufosinate ammonium.

If approved, Pioneer 1507 would be only the third GM crop ever approved for commercial cultivation in the European Union. Another variety of GM maize and a GM potato were formerly approved, although a court later blocked all cultivation of the potato strain. Opposition to GM crops is widespread throughout Europe, due to both health concerns and concerns over the crops’ effects on the environment. Critics allege that GM crops encourage increased use of toxic herbicides, and that Bt varieties cause deaths of moths and butterflies, including threatened species.

The European Commission is changing the European Union’s plant legislation, apparently to enhance food safety across the continent. This move has sparked a heavy opposition from many, saying that the measure will threaten seed diversity and favour large agrochemical businesses. This new law creates new powers to classify and regulate all plant life anywhere in Europe. You can view the entire proposal in the list of sources at the bottom of this article.

The “Plant Reproductive Material Law” regulates all plants. It contains restrictions on vegetables and woodland trees, as well as all other plants of any species. It will be illegal to grow, reproduce, or trade any vegetable seed or tree that has not been been tested and approved by the government, more specifically the “EU Plant Variety Agency.” This agency will be responsible for making a list of approved plants and an annual fee must also be forwarded to the agency if growers would like to keep what they grow on the list. The new law basically puts the government in charge of all plants and seeds in Europe, and prevents home gardeners from growing their own plants from non-regulated seeds. If they did, they would now be considered criminals.

Health officials in California are attempting to brush off public concern after a viral Youtube video showed a large increase in radiation levels on a Coastside beach last week.

The video, which has garnered nearly half a million views, shows radiation levels over five times above the normal background level, prompting fears over the ongoing Fukushima disaster.

A new facial recognition app will allow users to snap photos of strangers, and then find out all about them online.

NameTag, which is currently being developed, uses facial recognition technology to match people to their social media profiles. Anything that you or your friends have ever publicly posted about you will be accessible

In other words, a NameTag user could walk by a stranger, snap a photo on his or her smartphone, and then pull up contact information, photos and social media profiles without the stranger’s consent.
