New Zealand’s housing market is the most overvalued in the developed world relative to rents, an OECD report has concluded.

The report found property prices in New Zealand, Australia and Britain, among others, are well out of kilter with wages and rents.

In comparison to rents, New Zealand has the most overpriced housing market of all the 34 nations in the OECD, with values found to be 70 percent too high.

Norway, which topped the list last year, is now in second place with values 68 percent too high, followed closely by Canada.

Relative to average wages, New Zealand’s housing market is nearly a third overpriced, on a par with Britain’s.

The OECD said this posed a risk to the financial system.The organisation’s study is part of a wider report on the health of the global economy published on 6 May.

You’ve probably seen it on milk cartons, yogurt containers and cheese packaging if you live in the U.S. — that little asterisk followed by a claim that the milk used in the product does not contain rBST, rBGH or other artificial growth hormones. But a series of studies conducted by researchers at Harvard University has revealed that, despite this claim, many commercial dairy products still contain high levels of growth hormones, particularly the feminizing hormone estrogen.

While most rBST- and rBGH-free dairy products likely do not contain these added hormones, the fact of the matter is that modern dairy production methods, particularly those now used in the U.S., cause more hormones than normal to be present in milk. The reason for this, according to Ganmaa Davaasambuu, a physician and scientist from the Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH), is that many commercial dairy herds are milked excessively as well as during pregnancy, both of which result in higher-than-normal hormone levels in the finished product.

“Thanks to the way it is produced nowadays, milk from a commercial dairy is likely to contain much higher levels of natural sex hormones than you’d find in milk from a traditional (pre-industrial) dairy herd,” writes Josh Harkinson for Mother Jones, citing Davaasambuu’s extensive research into the subject.

Old-fashioned milk did not cause disease like today’s milk

Back in the early 2000s, Davaasambuu and her colleagues decided to investigate why rates of prostate cancer in Japan had escalated nearly 25-fold over the past half-century. This inquiry led the team to the discovery that cancer rates began to spike right around the time that American dairy techniques were brought over to the country following World War II.

After examining roughly 36 years of dietary data in Japan, Davaasambuu and her team came to the conclusion that the American way of raising dairy cattle in the 21st century — commercial herds in the U.S. are typically milked for 10 months out of the year rather than five or six, and are also routinely milked during pregnancy — is the most likely cause of increased cancer rates in Japan. These modern milking methods are not only taxing on cattle, but also produce milk that is highly estrogenic.

This was made more evident after a followup study in Mongolia, where cancer rates are much lower, found that traditional milking methods did not produce these negative outcomes. By milking their cows less frequently and not during pregnancy, the Mongols studied were observed to be largely free of disease.

“The reason that milk produced in America and Japan has more sex hormones than Mongolian milk is simple,” adds Harkinson. “The free-range cows kept by Mongolian nomads get pregnant naturally and are milked for five or six months after they give birth. In Japan and the United States, the typical dairy cow is milked for 10 months a year, which is only possible because she is impregnated by artificial insemination while still secreting milk from her previous pregnancy.”

“Milk from pregnant cows contains far higher hormone levels than milk from nonpregnant ones–five times the estrogen during the first two months of pregnancy, according to one study, and a whopping 33 times as much estrogen as the cow gets closer to term,” he adds.

Forced dairy consumption at public schools making kids sick

Sadly, commercial milk products remain a staple in many public school cafeterias, both in the U.S. and Japan. Public schoolchildren in Japan, in fact, are still required, thanks to an antiquated 1954 law, to consume 200 milliliters of commercial milk every day during lunch.

Other studies have shown that chronic consumption of commercial milk can lead to allergies, asthma and other serious health problems besides cancer, which begs the question — why is the government still peddling this processed junk food to our children, while the traditional milk of old, in all of its raw and wholesome glory, remains illegal in many states?

A top physician who used to work for drug giant Merck & Co., creator of the Gardasil vaccine for cervical cancer, has made some groundbreaking public admissions about the dangers and ineffectiveness of this controversial jab. During a recent interview with the French magazine Principes de Sante, Dr. Bernard Dalbergue confessed that Gardasil is a worthless vaccine that not only fails to protect against cervical cancer but also puts individuals at risk of paralysis, encephalitis, Guillain-Barre syndrome and a host of other debilitating ailments.

Suggesting that Gardasil will eventually become recognized as “the greatest medical scandal of all time,” Dr. Dalbergue railed against its approval and continued use, claiming that “everyone” involved with it knows that it’s completely worthless. Dr. Dalbergue also brought up another researcher by the name of Dr. Diane Harper who was involved with both Gardasail and Cervarix, the two approved vaccines for the human papillomavirus (HPV). As we we previously reported, Dr. Harper had previously blown the whistle on the dangers and ineffectiveness of these widely pushed vaccines.

“The full extent of the Gardasil scandal needs to be assessed,” reads an English translation of the interview, which was originally published in French. “[E]veryone knew when this vaccine was released on the American market that it would prove to be worthless! … In addition, decision-makers at all levels are aware of it!”

According to Dr. Dalbergue, industry insiders are fully aware of the fact that Gardasil can cause permanent, life-threatening damage to the central nervous system. They know that the vaccine can leave patients unable to walk, for instance, or function normally without extreme fatigue or pain. They also know that Gardasil does nothing to protect people from cervical cancer, the disease for which it is pushed aggressively on young people, both male and female.

“I predict that Gardasil will become the greatest medical scandal of all times because at some point in time, the evidence will add up to prove that this vaccine, technical and scientific feat that it may be, has absolutely no effect on cervical cancer,” he stated. “[A]ll the very many adverse effects which destroy lives and even kill, serve no other purpose than to generate profit for the manufacturers.”

Brazil’s federal public prosecutor has requested that the Justice Department immediately suspend use of glyphosate, which is the most widely used herbicide in the country and a primary element of Monsanto’s Roundup herbicide brand.

Also, according to reports in Brazilian media, the prosecutor is seeking a challenge to ban other potentially harmful chemicals as well.

Two actions have been filed. “The first measure seeks to compel the National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) to reevaluate the toxicity of eight active ingredients suspected of causing damage to human health and the environment. On another front, the agency questions the registration of pesticides containing 2,4-D herbicide, applied to combat broadleaf weeds,” explained the prosecutor, on his website.

The actions request a preliminary injunction, calling on the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply to suspend the registration of products until a final determination is made about their toxicity by ANVISA.

The prosecutor’s civil suit asks that the National Biosafety Technical Commission be prohibited from releasing the commercialization of transgenic seeds resistant to the herbicides pending a final decision by ANVISA.

In March, the country’s Federal Appeals Court ruled to cancel use of Bayer’s genetically modified (GM) LibertyLink maize. Also last month, France banned the sale, use and cultivation of Monsanto’s GM MON 810 maize after new research found that insects in the U.S. are developing a resistance to the GM maize.

Regarding glyphosate, new evidence suggests that it can become very toxic to the human kidney once it is mixed with “hard” water or metals like arsenic, cadmium, magnesium, strontium and iron, as well as others. Glyphosate is toxic enough on its own.

Glyphosate was developed as a herbicide by Monsanto in the early 1970s, and was brought to the market under the “Roundup” brand, which is now the most commonly used herbicide the world over.

However, as new research emerges indicating its potential to amplify toxicity, more nations are taking note — and taking action.

At the outset of March, the Sri Lankan government banned glyphosate over its links to kidney disease — known as “Chronic Kidney Disease of Unknown etiology,” or CKDu, according to the Center for Public Integrity. The disease has killed thousands of agricultural workers, many in Sri Lanka and El Salvador.

El Salvador’s legislature approved a ban on glyphosate in September, as well as many other agrochemicals, but the measure is not yet law.

Now, a new study published in the Pharmacognosy Magazine titled, “Curcumin attenuates neurotoxicity induced by fluoride: An in vivo evidence,” adds experimental support to the suspicion that fluorideis indeed a brain-damaging substance, also revealing that a natural spice-derived protective agent against the various health effects associated with this compound is available.

The study was authored by researchers from the Department of Zoology, University College of Science, M.L. Sukhadia University, Udaipur, India, who have spent the past decade investigating the mechanisms through which fluoride induce severe neurodegenerative changes in the mammalian brain, particularly in cells of the hippocampus and cerebral cortex.

The study opens by describing the historical backdrop for concern about fluoride’s significant and wide ranging toxicity:
Fluoride is probably the first inorganic ion which drew attention of the scientific world for its toxic effects and now the F toxicity through drinking water is well-recognized as a global problem. Health effect reports on F exposure also include various cancers, adverse reproductive activities, cardiovascular, and neurological diseases.
The study focused on fluoride induced neurotoxicity, identifying excitoxicity (stimulation of the neuron to the point of death) and oxidative stress as the two main drivers of neurodegeneration. It has been observed that subjects with the condition known as fluorosis, a mottling of tooth enamel caused by excessive exposure to fluoride during tooth development, also have neurodegenerative changes associated with a form of oxidative stress known as lipid peroxidation (rancidity). Excess lipid peroxidation in the brain can lead to a decrease in total brain phospholipid content. Owing to these well-known mechanisms of fluoride associated neurotoxicity and neurodegeneration, the researchers identified the primary polyphenol in the spice turmeric — known as curcumin – as an ideal agent worth testing as a neuroprotective substance. Previous research on curcumin indicates that it is capable of activing as an antioxidant in 3 distinct ways by protecting against: 1) singlet oxygen 2) hyrodxyl radicals and 3) superoxide radical damage. Also, curcumin appears to raise endogenous glutathione production in the brain, a major antioxidant defense system.

The CIA director was sent to Kiev to launch a military suppression of the Russian separatists in the eastern and southern portions of Ukraine, former Russian territories for the most part that were foolishly attached to the Ukraine in the early years of Soviet rule.

Washington’s plan to grab Ukraine overlooked that the Russian and Russian-speaking parts of Ukraine were not likely to go along with their insertion into the EU and NATO while submitting to the persecution of Russian speaking peoples. Washington has lost Crimea, from which Washington intended to eject Russia from its Black Sea naval base. Instead of admitting that its plan for grabbing Ukraine has gone amiss, Washington is unable to admit a mistake and, therefore, is pushing the crisis to more dangerous levels.

If Ukraine dissolves into secession with the former Russian territories reverting to Russia, Washington will be embarrassed that the result of its coup in Kiev was to restore the Russian provinces of Ukraine to Russia. To avoid this embarrassment, Washington is pushing the crisis toward war.

The CIA director instructed Washington’s hand-picked stooge government in Kiev to apply to the United Nations for help in repelling “terrorists” who with alleged Russian help are allegedly attacking Ukraine. In Washington’s vocabulary, self-determination is a sign of Russian interference. As the UN is essentially a Washington-financed organization, Washington will get what it wants.

The Russian government has already made it completely clear some weeks ago that the use of violence against protesters in eastern and southern Ukraine would compel the Russian government to send in the Russian army to protect Russians, just as Russia had to do in South Ossetia when Washington instructed its Georgian puppet ruler to attack Russian peacekeeping troops and Russian residents of South Ossetia.

Washington knows that the Russian government cannot stand aside while one of Washington’s puppet states attacks Russians. Yet, Washington is pushing the crisis to war.

The danger for Russia is that the Russian government will rely on diplomacy, international organizations, international cooperation, and on the common sense and self-interest of German politicians and politicians in other of Washington’s European puppet states.

For Russia this could be a fatal mistake. There is no good will in Washington, only mendacity. Russian delay provides Washington with time to build up forces on Russia’s borders and in the Black Sea and to demonize Russia with propaganda and whip up the US population into a war frenzy. The latter is already occurring.

Kerry has made it clear to Lavrov that Washington is not listening to Russia. As Washington pays well, Washington’s European puppets are also not listening to Russia. Money is more important to European politicians than humanity’s survival.

In my opinion, Washington does not want the Ukraine matters settled in a diplomatic and reasonable way. It might be the case that Russia’s best move is immediately to occupy the Russian territories of Ukraine and re-absorb the territories into Russia from whence they came. This should be done before the US and its NATO puppets are prepared for war. It is more difficult for Washington to start a war when the objects of the war have already been lost. Russia will be demonized with endless propaganda from Washington whether or not Russia re-absorbs its traditional territories. If Russia allows these territories to be suppressed by Washington, the prestige and authority of the Russian government will collapse. Perhaps that is what Washington is counting on.

If Putin’s government stands aside while Russian Ukraine is suppressed, Putin’s prestige will plummet, and Washington will finish off the Russian government by putting into action its many hundreds of Washington-financed NGOs that the Russian government has so foolishly tolerated. Russia is riven with Washington’s Fifth columns.

In my opinion, the Russian and Chinese governments have made serious strategic mistakes by remaining within the US dollar-based international payments system. The BRICS and any others with a brain should instantly desert the dollar system, which is a mechanism for US imperialism. The countries of the BRICS should immediately create their own separate payments system and their own exclusive communications/Internet system.

Russia and China have stupidly made these strategic mistakes, because reeling from communist failures and oppressions, they naively assumed that Washington was pure, that Washington was committed to its propagandistic self-description as the upholder of law, justice, mercy,and human rights.

In fact, Washington, the “exceptional, indispensable country,” is committed to its hegemony over the world. Russia, China, and Iran are in the way of Washington’s hegemony and are targeted for attack.

The attack on Russia is mounting.

Would you like to have an RFID microchip implanted under your skin? If you are anything like me, you would never allow such a thing to be done. But many others, especially among the younger generations, see things very differently. RFID microchip implants and other forms of “wearable technology” are increasingly being viewed as “cool”, “trendy” and “cutting edge” by young people that wish to “enhance” themselves. And of course the mainstream media is all in favor of these “technological advancements”.

For example, the BBC just published a piece entitled “Why I Want A Microchip Implant”. We are told that such implants could solve a whole host of societal problems. Identity theft and credit card fraud would be nearly eliminated, many other forms of crime would be significantly reduced, children would never go missing and we wouldn’t have to remember a vast array of passwords and PIN numbers like we do now. We are told that if we just adopted such technology that our lives would be so much better. But is that really the case

As our society becomes “digitally integrated”, technologists tell us that it is “inevitable” that wearable technology will become as common as smart phones are today. And the BBC article that I just mentioned is very eager for that day to arrive…

Ultimately, implanted microchips offer a way to make your physical body machine-readable. Currently, there is no single standard of communicating with the machines that underpin society – from building access panels to ATMs – but an endless diversity of identification systems: magnetic strips, passwords, PIN numbers, security questions, and dongles. All of these are attempts to bridge the divide between your digital and physical identity, and if you forget or lose them, you are suddenly cut off from your bank account, your gym, your ride home, your proof of ID, and more. An implanted chip, by contrast, could act as our universal identity token for navigating the machine-regulated world.

And for some people, that day is already here. In fact, at some technology conferences people actually line up to get chipped…

This month at the Transhuman Visions conference in San Francisco, Graafstra set up an “implantation station” offering attendees the chance to be chipped at $50 a time. Using a large needle designed for microchipping pets, Graafstra injected a glass-coated RFID tag the size of a rice grain into each volunteer. By the end of the day Graafstra had created 15 new cyborgs. How creepy is that?

Those who mean to lord over us, such as the Department of Defense, have now called people who grow their own food ‘radical’ and extremists. Sound familiar? It’s just like the US calling other nations terrorists when our government has terrorized more of the ‘free’ world than we could even imagine. It has basically called its own citizens terrorists already with NSA spying.

How in the world has it come to this? Americans are becoming ‘serfs’ to their own government much the same way that the British monarchy forced self-sufficient farmers to divide up their land into mono-cropping plots so that they could tax the heck out of everyone and make them reliant upon the same system of tenet farming which then enslaved the masses.

What’s worse, even the founding fathers are considered ‘extremists’ by the Pentagon, according to a new training manual that labels farmers as such. This bit of information was discovered by the legal watchdog, Judicial Watch, as part of a Freedom of Information Act request, and was included in over 133 documents provided by the Air Force. To teach our military to root out ‘extremism’ in a ‘student guide’, those who would decide to grow some organic cabbage, non-GMO corn, and tomatoes, for example, would be considered a threat to national defense. Even though the document says that this is ‘for training purposes only’ and ‘do not use on the job,’ why on earth would such a reference be made? It is simply preposterous.

The manual goes on to pigeonhole those who would have the gall to grow their own food:

An “extremist” is “a person who advocates the use of force or violence; advocates supremacist causes based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, or national origin; or otherwise engages to illegally deprive individuals or groups of their civil rights.”

In addition, it says, “Nowadays, instead of dressing in sheets or publically espousing hate messages, many extremists will talk of individual liberties, states’ rights, and how to make the world a better place.”

I am a writer, but I have no words.

So essentially – as we ‘ve all suspected of late, if we believe in supporting our own rights, if we believe in freedom – sovereignty of food, and lifestyle, then we are enemies of the state and federal government. I’m not sure what country we live in anymore, but it certainly isn’t one in which we allow ‘freedom to ring.’
